A one‑day creative workshop – suitable for all levels. Taking place in our beautiful studio at Heart of the Country Shopping Village, Lichfield.

Overview:
Spend a restorative and creative day exploring continuous line, with illustrator Ruth Allen.

Working from a selection of botanical imagery – flowers, foliage, gardens, tools and allotments – you’ll develop fluid drawings using continuous line techniques, layered with watercolour, acrylic pens and collage.

This relaxed workshop encourages freedom, play and confidence, culminating in a beautiful series of finished artworks ready to take home.

Delicious pastries, home made bakes and tea & coffee included.

There is time to grab lunch at one of the on site eateries, or you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch and eat in front of our cozy log burner.

 

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to approach continuous line drawing with rhythm and flow
  • Observational techniques to capture botanical forms with character
  • Combining line with watercolour, pen and collage for layered results
  • Approaches to composition and colour balance

What You’ll Create:
By the end of the session, you’ll have a collection of expressive, nature‑inspired pieces, including:

  • A mounted illustration
  • A small painted canvas
  • A folded concertina card

Each piece will reflect your individual style and the joyful spontaneity of continuous line.
