My background is in printed textiles, so have really loved working on this project and felt very honoured to have been asked!
Grooms Phil and Mark, asked if I would help with their magical wedding by designing a repeat pattern to join their two last names - Badger and Bone. This pattern was to be printed on the linings of their wedding suits, to add something really unique to their already beautiful tailoring.
Mark had the idea of using a coat of arms as inspiration, and so I used bones shapes to frame the face of a badger, along with some ivy leaves, as a nod to their reception location The Ivy.
I started with the illustrations, and used photoshop to translate the repeat pattern into a digital file, ready to be printed onto the fabric.
Such a creative and brilliant idea! Absolutely loved seeing the finished garments, and the design come to life. Congratulations Phil and Mark!
